This End User License Agreement governs your use of VoiceScribe. Please read it carefully. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these terms.
These Terms of Use ("Terms" or "EULA") form a binding agreement between you and VoiceScribe ("we", "us") regarding your use of the VoiceScribe application for iOS (the "App"). If you do not agree, do not download or use the App. You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction, or have permission from a parent or guardian, to use the App.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, solely for your personal or internal business use, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and the Usage Rules in the Apple App Store.
You agree not to, and not to permit others to:
VoiceScribe includes AI-assisted features. On-device transcription (WhisperKit) and optional cloud AI (DeepSeek API) may produce results that are inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your purpose. AI output is provided "as is" to assist you and must not be relied upon as professional, legal, medical, financial or other expert advice. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying AI output before relying on it. Optional cloud AI features transmit only the transcript text you select, only when you choose to use them — see the AI Disclosure.
VoiceScribe offers auto-renewable subscriptions that unlock premium features. Subscriptions, pricing, auto-renewal, cancellation and restore are described in detail on our Subscription Terms page, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
All purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple ID using Apple StoreKit. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Auto-renewable subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. Except where required by law or by Apple's policies, payments are non-refundable; refund requests are handled by Apple.
The App, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos and trademarks, is owned by VoiceScribe or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a license, not a sale, of the App. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
You retain all rights to the audio, transcripts, notes and other content you create or import ("Your Content"). We do not claim ownership of Your Content. You are solely responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the rights and any necessary consents to record, import and process it. You grant us only the limited rights necessary to operate the features you use (for example, transmitting selected transcript text to the DeepSeek API when you request an AI action).
This license is effective until terminated. It terminates automatically if you breach these Terms. You may terminate by deleting the App. Upon termination, you must stop using the App. Sections relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, liability and governing law survive termination.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VOICESCRIBE AND ITS LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR USD $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, your use is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). Where these Terms and the Apple Standard EULA conflict, the Apple Standard EULA governs to the extent of the conflict.

Third-Party Beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce them against you. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your principal place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except where superseded by the Apple Media Services Terms or mandatory local law. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
